UFC 126: Silva vs Belfort

UFC 126 will headline the most anticipated match of the year as Anderson "The Spider" Silva defend his middleweight title against former UFC Champ Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort on Saturday, February 5, 2011. Both fighters were expected to meet at UFC 108, UFC 109, and UFC 112, but due to injuries from both fighters, the bout was postponed.

Vitor Belfort enters this match with a five-fight win streak. His most recent fight is at UFC 103 with a first-round knockout of Rich Franklin in a 195-pound catchweight bout. Anderson Silva on the other hand, moved to 12-0 in the organization and made his record seventh straight successful UFC title defense with the August win over Chael Sonnen.

Other fights for the night features a light heavyweight bout between former UFC champions Rich “Ace” Franklin and Forrest Griffin and a pivotal 205-pound contest between rising stars Ryan Bader and Jon JonesUFC 126: Silva vs Belfort takes place live at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada and the night's main card airs on Pay-Per-View (PPV) and two preliminary fights will be featured live on Spike TV.
